The 9th edition of the Brussels International Guitar Festival & Competitions, the key event so eagerly awaited by music lovers and guitar aficionados, is coming to your home !
Unique in its kind, this genuine « Brussels Guitar Fiesta » draws large crowds and has made a name for itself over the years as one of the main such festivals in Europe.
Exceptionally, this edition is entirely digital, as the prevailing health situation means it cannot take place in front of a live audience.
24 virtual rendezvous have been programmed from 1st to 24th December on the Festival’s YouTube channel, and will take the form of short videos, uploaded one by one on a daily basis.
These will be accessible free of charge and can be watched over and over again for several months. They will include concerts, master classes, a conference, a musical show for children and the finals of both national and international competitions.
Classical music, Argentinian, modern, jazz, music from the Balkans, Fado, Flamenco… The multiple facets of the world’s most played instrument are showcased in a rich and varied programme.
Audiences will be able to hear all the great guitar names coming from many different countries (Belgium, Italy, Spain, Taiwan, France, Slovenia, Portugal, etc.) and discover young artists on the springboard of a promising career, launched by the Festival.
Open to everybody, whether beginners or confirmed music lovers, this special edition will be, once again, brimming with joy, emotions and discoveries…
